Dear Pastor Tom and Friends at Westtown,
As we are looking, once again toward our departure to the field we are so grateful for the part you play in our ministry.
Thanks so much for standing with us both
financially and in prayer. We are excited as we are on the threshold of the Kafe hearing the gospel. We are confident
that the Lord will have those, from the Kafe tribe, to be called his children. Please continue to pray for us as we leave
for Papua New Guinea. There is so much to do before we leave and then all the settling in once we get there. We know, despite
how overwhelming things look, that we can do
all things "through Christ" who gives us the strength we need.
Can we share how God paving the way for us to leave?
1. Praise the Lord for Nicole's passport and visa. They are in hand and ready to go.
2. Praise the Lord that all our flights are booked from Los Angeles through Goroka, PNG. Now we have to book flights for
the Michigan-LA leg of our journey.
3. Praise the Lord for clean bills of health from the doctor and the dentist!
4. Praise the Lord for the attitudes of our older girls. They are eager to return to the field despite the fun they've
had and the friends they will miss as they leave.
With only a few months remaining there are still lots of meetings left and lots of things to be done. Pray for us to just
take one day at a time as we work to see
everything accomplished before May.
Just some of the things you can pray for are as follows:
*Nicole's flights from Michigan to Port Moresby.
*The many meetings in March and April.
*The packing and sending of our belongings by ship.
*The little details such as Nicole's Social Security card (which never arrived though it was sent)
*For the girls as they finish up as much school as they can before we leave.
There is so much more, yet we ask the Lord to help us to be faithful to him each day as we look to see these things done
in the short time remaining. Thanks so much for
praying for us.
In His Service,
Jim and Teresa Holmgren and Family
